Last year, police had charged the 79-year-old former oil tycoon, better known as O K Lim, with two counts of abetment of forgery for the purpose of cheating.
Friday’s charges accuse Lim of instigating a Hin Leong employee to forge documents supposedly issued by UT Singapore Services Pte Ltd.
The paperwork stated that Hin Leong had transferred cargoes of oil products to China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corp between June 2019 and March 2020, the charge sheets showed.
BEIRUT: Tania Saleh is not generally known for mincing her words, whether in casual conversation or in song. “You come to a point in your life where you just can’t hold back anymore you need to say what’s on your mind, regardless of the consequences,” she says of her new album, the deeply confessional “10 A.D.” (which stands for 10 Years After Divorce).
The veteran Lebanese singer/songwriter is a pioneer of the Arabic alternative-music scene, with an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, and speckled with both compelling studio releases and diverse collaborations.
As its title reveals, the LP is driven by Saleh’s decade-long experience of living in the Arab world as a divorced woman.
Senator Magnus Abe
The lack of investment in the oil field granted to Addax is said to have caused a great loss to the economy, Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Senator Magnus Abe, has said.
Abe, who was reacting to an online story, said the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) was right in its recommendation of a revocation of the mining leases issued to Addax in the national interest.
In the said online story, entitled: “Petroleum Minister, cronies plot kangaroo NNPC report to divert $650 million oil contracts to themselves,” Abe, said the report, was “designed to create the impression of a major scandal and arm twist the Federal Government in the matter concerning the recent attempt to revoke some oil blocks from a foreign company.”

Germanyâs inflation rate rose above 2% for the first time in two years, boosted mainly by energy costs.
Consumer prices also increased sharply in Spain by 1.9% from a year earlier and are expected to pick up in France and Italy. A euro-area report due on Friday is set to show the rate reaching 1.5%, the highest since 2019.
While some analysts foresee a new era of higher inflation after the pandemic, fueled by pent-up demand and a glut of savings boosted by massive fiscal support to households, the European Central Bank predicts any pickup will be temporary.
